Dear Brigadier Kamboj,

I've observed the unkind and snide remarks made by many of us against the IESM office bearers, and am saddened by the same.
It is easy to -
criticise.
go on considering the pros and cons endlessly, resulting in inaction.
keep thinking about the repercussions of backing a horse that could even be a loser.
The burden of responsibility is awesome, especially when the veteran fraternity looks upon you for guidance and advice.

If one were to desist from acting till one was CERTAIN of winning, then no military commander will plunge into battle.

The future is UNCERTAIN, and it takes a leader to lead into unknown terrain.
FAILURE to lead is criminal, according to the values inculcated into the armed forces.

We have been taught to take the plunge for the cause, even if we are certain of death.

My salute to General Raj Kadyan and his team for the foresight, fortitude, courage, and resoluteness to PRESS ON, regardless of the snide and thoughtless comments.

'LOG KYAA KAHENGE' is the greatest fetter on our feet, and they deserve our admiration for continuing to lead, unmindful of unkind attibution of motives.
Some words of caution - like those from General Vijay Oberoi - are for future guidance, well meaning in intent, and deserving of respectful consideration.
But, failure to lead is unpardonable, and the IESM team deserve our admiration for leading from the front, instead of hiding behind excuses.

Many grudging concessions dribbling out in the recent past are a result of the IESM's resolute struggle, rather than true change of heart or intent.

My admiration and gratitude to the IESM leadership and all support personnel.

With deepest regards,

Major General A. k. Gupta

My Dear Brigadier Kamboj,

The important lesson to be learnt and REMEMBERED is that in case we are in a limbo, then we should approach the COURTS WITHOUT DELAY OR MEANINGLESS DIALOGUE WITH THE GOVERNMENT.
All the time lost in this process goes down the drain.

Hopefully, NDA win the election, and we don't have to toil further.
However, if we're unlucky, then Admiral Harinder Singh must steer the ship into the COURTS.

I had the good fortune to discuss matters with him, and found that he is the BEST PERSON TO STEER OUR CASE BEFORE THE COURTS.
He must not be restrained or obstructed in any manner.

Regards,

Major GEneral A. K. Gupta
